Hello !
A humongous “thank you” to all that have brought me support during my misfortune. Your words of encouragement helped me tremendously. Also, a sincere “thank you” to those who have maintained a close relationship with me (and never ceased) during this long convalescence.
----------------------
When it comes to acknowledgments and thanking people
I could write for pages. However, here I would like to thank every person
that has helped me, directly or indirectly. For those of you that I have
not mentioned, please consider this as a personal thank you. I want you
to know that I have not forgotten you and I really appreciate your support.
I would like to thank my sister Diane, who has been my
musical associate since 1999. For me, she is always available. In 2004-2005,
her husband Gaétan arrived on the scene and he also provides me
with many great ideas. They make an excellent team and I am very grateful
to both of them. A very big thank you to my wonderful husband who is always
by my side. He supports my many endeavors and my long hours of work. He
sometimes is my security blanket when I get anxious or worried. Thanks
also to my friends and devoted fans that consistently encourage me. Then
there is my darling son Francis, a Computer Graphic Artist, who is doing
a terrific job on my web site: Thank you son!
Many Country-Western Festival organizers have always
been faithful and request my performances. This could be, because of my
faithful fans let the organizers know that they like my concerts. I began
my career at the Gatineau Festival. This festival was held on highway
#50 and I entertained at this festival right up to it’s closure
with Messrs. Réjean Major and Jacques Lafrenière (recently
deceased and for whom I had a lot of respect). The Alfred Festival where
Carmen and Luc ien Gratton are the very enthusiastic and welcoming organizers.
They have given me singing engagements for the past six years, and, if
all be known, it is partly because of these two wonderful people that
I am still performing. In my own region, many other Country Festivals
believe in me. I have performed at the Plaisance Festival (3rd year),
the Bowman Festival (3rd year) and the Alexandria Festival (2nd year).
There are other festivals where I, and other artists, perform from time
to time throughout Québec and Ontario . The most important thing
is that Country Festivals continue!
St-André-Avellin’s Professional Rodeo and
Western Festival have hired me for a repeat performance. Five years ago,
I was a founding member and part of the Organizing Committee for the Premier
Edition of this Festival. This year (2005), they offered me the position
of Honorary Chairman as well as giving me another contract to perform.
I consider this opportunity to be a real honor. When I am asked to perform
in my own region, it really touches me personally. Also, I love being
the spokesperson for something that I believe in. I thank each and every
individual of the Committee for thinking of me!
There is a special corner in my heart for the FQCC (Fédération
Québécoise de camping caravaning), and more particularly
the ARCC 16 (Association régionale de camping caravaning de la
région Outaouaise). While not a Festival, it is an association
where my services as an artist were required a number of times. Their
major event was the Official Opening Assembly in Gatineau (Hull Sector)
in 2004. I had the pleasure of working with an excellent team. What professionalism
this team demonstrated under the direction of my good friend, past-President
Normand Perron. I must admit that these are great and wonderful souvenirs
that I keep in my heart.
Lately I have become acquainted with another very serious
and professional association: Canadian Snowbirds Association (CSA). It
is an Association that links people traveling everywhere around the world,
for both, short and long trips. I had the privilege of working with some
of these people in 2005 and as the saying goes – “They know
where they are going!”
I would never forgive myself if I forgot the excellent,
highly skilled regional radio emcee - Mr. Robert Guindon. Good days, bad
days, every day, Robert, is on the air of CHUO Radio, every Thursday from
8:00 a.m. to Noon . He has been at this job for nearly ten years. Robert
plays my music and is working hard to get the public
to know me. He does a fantastic job. Congratulations
Robert! AND, congratulations to allcountry Hostsand
emcees across the province that continue to believe Country Music.
Finally a very big thank you, to you my loyal peers,
my country singer friends! I want you to know that I really appreciate
all the help and encouragement that you provide me. These are two
very important factors in this occupation.
